Two New POCO Phones Are on The Way

POCO fans, rejoice – the brand has announced that a couple of new POCO Android phones are on their way to the market soon. The company’s Twitter page has been continuously teasing two upcoming phones under the “F” and “X” lineups, which are set to launch later this week.

Known as the POCO F4 5G and the POCO X4 GT, the upcoming phones offer some specs that are aimed at budget-conscious buyers, who are looking for great specs at affordable prices. The phones are set to launch globally via an online event on the 23rd of June, according to the official POCO Twitter page.

Not much was revealed with regards to specs, but POCO has mentioned a few details which would be worth knowing. With that said, let’s take a quick look!

POCO F4 5G

As far as specs go, the POCO F4 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset, and will also feature LiquidCool 2.0 technology for thermals, as well as 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, as well as a hardware design that features a flat and angular look and rounded corners.

POCO’s choice to equip this phone with the Snapdragon 870 processor is rather interesting, as the chipset was the same one used in 2021’s POCO F3. It’s still a capable SoC, however, although it would have been nice to see a Snapdragon 888 chip on this one.

POCO X4 GT

Specs-wise, the company was careful not to spoil too much info on the X4 GT. However, it is predicted that the phone might come with a 6.6-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, and up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

It’s safe to say however that both devices will come with Android 12 pre-installed, as well as the latest version of POCO’s MIUI interface and a Xiaomi-centric suite of software features.

Both phones follow the launch of the POCO F4 GT, which is positioned as the brand’s main flagship gaming phone. It comes with some high-end specs such as the all-powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, magnetic trigger buttons, and more (you can check it out here).

POCO fans can expect a full presentation of the device with the complete specs listing and features during the POCO event. Stay tuned to our website, as well as our official YouTube channel for more Geeky Stuff on the internet!
