We Got Invited to the POCO F4 GT Launch Event!

The POCO F4 GT finally launched yesterday for UK markets, bringing the brand’s latest powerhouse phone to more consumers worldwide. The handset combines fast and powerful performance with gaming-centric features, as well as a sharply-styled hardware design.

As part of the event, Geeky Stuff’s very own Paul Smith was live at Xiaomi HQ in Reading, alongside David Montanya, European Product Manager for Xiaomi.

During the event, Paul and David went over several features of the POCO F4 GT, including the upgrades to performance with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, internal cooling system, fast-charging capabilities, and more.

They also unboxed the new POCO Watch, which is the brand’s first-ever wearable device. The POCO Watch comes with built-in GPS, an AMOLED display, SPO2 tracking, 24-hour heartrate monitoring, 100+ fitness modes, and runs on its own custom OS. It’s also got a lightweight design, and has 5ATM waterproofing, which makes it ideal for pool sessions in addition to outdoor runs.

The POCO F4 GT was launched for international markets back in April and succeeds last year’s POCO F3. By comparison though, the F4 GT comes with more hardware features and improvements which puts it in more premium smartphone territory.

In addition to the hardware mentioned above, its best features are the 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus, magnetic trigger buttons, which are smartly hidden thanks to a cool switch mechanism, a 4700 mAh battery, which can go from zero to 100 percent thanks to the Hypercharge feature.

In addition to our unboxing, we also took the F4 GT for a photo and video camera test, as well as a performance showdown with the Realme GT Neo 3. You can also visit our channel for the full launch event stream.

At the moment, Xiaomi UK is running an early bird discount offer for the POCO F4 GT, and early buyers can enjoy a discount if they purchase the phone now. The promo runs until 30th of May.
